Hydraulic Cylinders

Hydraulic Cylinder PDF for use of AMC Bearing materials

ACM Composites has over twenty years of experience in developing, manufacturing, and supplying composite wear rings and bearing strips for use in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. They offer a range of materials that are medium to high load capable, low wear, low friction, and long lasting.  ACM also has a range of special materials for non-standard chemicals. Thicknesses of 2-5mm and widths of 5-50mm, allow for cylinders up to 1.5m in diameter. Their is zero curvature for easy installation.

ACM has been providing highly engineered composite bearings to the Hydropower Industry for many years, and their newest materials, TriboTex 7 and TriboGlide 15, offer significant increases in performance with no need for periodic lubrication or maintenance. These self-lubricating materials are optimised for high load, low wear, low friction, and long life. They have proven superior in wear performance against rubber and other non-metallic bearings in abrasive water conditions.

Industrial Vehicles

ACM Composites makes special materials that are used in many machines that require low wear on critical components. Wear of these materials can be less than that of conventional metallic materials and with minimal surface damage to the counter face. They are also resistant to many chemicals, and don't corrode. Hydratech can provide technical support and help with the installation. Hydratech offer design assistance and machining recommendations.

L2 Marine is a special material used in the marine industry on ships and other applications. It is designed to be a maintenance free, high load bearing material with good elasticity and low wear that can be used in wet, dry, oil, grease, and water operations. It has been used on over 2000 vessels and L2 Marine is the only single synthetic composite material available that has classification approval for both lubricated and dry operation, making it the ideal rudder bearing material.

Water Lubricated Bearings

L2 Marine is a material used in water lubricated propeller shaft bearing applications. It offers superior performance in terms of wear, extended life and low shaft wear over other water lubricated propellor shaft bearing materials, and has been tested and approved by classification societies. It also has many advantages, such as high load capability, good elasticity, low wear and low swell. The material is available as finish machined bearings or in billet form for final machining in the ship yard.

ACM materials boast excellent mechanical, physical, and bearing characteristics and are resistant to marine growth, cathodic chalking, and bi-metallic corrosion. The materials can be used with dry, grease, sea water, or oil lubrication and can be used against different counterfaces. Wear is less than other plastic materials, and longer life is possible with minimal surface damage.

Pump Industry

ACM Composites provides engineers with a wide range of composite materials, offering high load capability, excellent shock resistance, low friction, low wear rate and long life, while being pollution-free and shaft-friendly. The materials also feature good corrosion resistance and hydrodynamic properties.
